Music for the Voice has launched with a joint statement pledging support for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament. As an organisation with deep ties to music, Alberts are a proud signatory to the statement. The music we all create, perform, and share on this country, is inextricably connected to the oldest continuing culture on earth. We all continue to benefit from First Nations people, their cultural knowledge, their connections to the lands, and their storytelling. With the date fast approaching, we urge anyone reading this to take the time to educate yourself, ensure you are enrolled to vote, and have healthy conversations about the importance of policies like this that impact and shape our future in Australia.
