There’s always multiple reasons to get behind Australia’s thriving local music scene, but November gives us more reasons than ever to celebrate. Why? Because it’s Ausmusic month and with that comes our favourite day: Ausmusic T-shirt Day. This year’s theme is more apt than ever: ‘Life’s better with Australian music’ and we couldn’t agree more.
On Thursday November 28 we’ll be proudly wearing our favourite Ausmusic t-shirts in support of the people who make Australian music possible – the incredible artists, the dedicated backstage crews and essential industry workers.
Along with pulling on your favourite Ausmusic t-shirt – or buying a new one from this year’s bespoke range designed by the likes of ambassadors Paul Kelly, Powderfinger, Royal Otis and Nooky – we’ll be donating to our dedicated fundraising page. Every dollar raised goes to Support Act, the local music industry charity that provides musicians, managers, crew and music workers with crucial financial and wellbeing support through a free wellbeing helpline, mentally healthy workplaces program and dedicated First Nations support.
Alberts are long-time partners of Support Act’s annual fundraiser, honouring our long history in Australia’s arts, music and entertainment industries, and recognising the need to back the pioneering artists and behind-the-scenes professionals who fuel our vibrant culture.
So, wear your t-shirt on 28 November and let’s make this a powerful celebration of Australian music and a show of solidarity with those who create, support, and sustain it.
